Walk

Went on a big walk today. My walking boot broke! Has been about a decade but the sole finally came off. Just as it becomes impossible to try any on I need a new pair.

The motorcyclists were out in force and dropping like flies on the country lanes. We drove past two accidents in the space of two miles this morning.

We also thought the gps map app would be fine, but after repeatedly turning around every 100m we had to get the paper version out. Then we lost all signal and realised we had never looked further ahead on the route and so didn’t know where we were meant to go even if we could identify the path. Turns out that navigating with a paper map is actually quite hard. “Does that count as a bridleway do you think?” “Can’t we go along there where that line is - no that’s a hedge” etc etc. We did find our way back to the car again though so I’m counting it as a win. We have resolved to revise ahead of future trips.
