Memorial Day 2020

It certainly wasn't normal. No morning parade, no march to the city cemetery to hear the somber program, and no big family cookout.

The national cemetery was packed with people, paying honor to their loved ones. The cemetery board would not let the boy scouts put flags on all the graves, but there were pockets of flags like this.

I say we didn't have a family cookout, bur we did have dogs and brats at my daughter's house tonight. 8 of us, and we did mostly practice social distancing. So, we got to see grandson Merrick for a while...until he got a phone call inviting him down the street to swim. "Bye-bye" was all he said.
