Get More Out of Life
This wonderful neon sign (EXTRA) welcomes you to historic downtown in Fillmore, California that was established when the Southern Pacific built the railroad through the valley in 1887. Fillmore is a small city in Ventura County, California, in the Santa Clara River Valley. It is an an agricultural area surrounded by high mountains in a valley that has rich, fertile soil.
This is a stretch for Tiny Tuesday, but I think it qualifies because you can see the small glass capsule that contains a mixture of neon and other gases at a low pressure and the tiny electrodes (an anode and a cathode). When sufficient voltage is applied and current is supplied between the electrodes, the lamp produces an orange glow discharge. If it is disqualified for TT, then it's a contender for Neon Tuesday #1 ,the newest blip challenge.
