Day 66 Bank Holiday Monday
Today Chris and I should have been enjoying the delights of Ely on the mini break that Dan and Dad bought us for Christmas. Unfortunately we've had to postpone but what amazing weather we would have had. Instead we settled for beautiful Shrewsbury. Why would we want to be anywhere else really? Today's challenge for mono Monday is favourite place; the Quarry has definitely been my favourite place to walk to during lockdown. I've found it calming and peaceful and it's definitely good for my mental health and wellbeing. I can't turn this into black and white though because I just love the spring colours.
Apart from a long walk into town, I also went on the exercise bike, popped to the shop and made a cottage pie. Chris cycled into work and then popped to see Dad.
In the news, there were 121 deaths. Boris announced that car showrooms and outdoor markets can open on 1st June with non essential shops opening on 15th. It would have been nice if he'd added in that you can visit more than 1 member of your family instead of the silly rule that's currently in place. Good news from Greece is that flights are resuming on 1st July and they've had very low numbers of infections and deaths. Keeping everything crossed that they can manage the virus and visitors don't bring in more cases.
