Catrigg Force, Ribblesdale

Had a drive in to the Fales to one of my “quiet” spots, Winskill Stones above Langcliffe near Settle. Took some photos of the limestone pavement and then decided to seek out the Force.

My navigating skills were a bit rusty so I ended up going round in a large circle and also going through fields I wasn’t sure I should have been in!

Anyway I eventually found the country Lane I was looking for and duly arrived at the waterfall. Not much water coming down I’m afraid but the place was still magical. A cuckoo in the woods was an added bonus. On my way back to the car I was witness to a couple of young weasels playing, a great way to round off a lovely afternoon.
