1992. Sunlight catching the dog rose

I spotted this on my morning walk today and the yellow glow on the base of the petals is the sunshine coming through the greenery...I loved the way the petals caught the light.

I am not in a good place today...our upstairs neighbour was blue lighted to hospital this morning with suspected COVID-19 and he’s a type 1 diabetic so I am really worried about him, goodness knows how his wife is coping as she cannot go with him and if he needs intensive care he will have to be transferred to Dundee.  My mood dipped yesterday after that awful press conference which we watched as I really hoped that at the very least he would apologise...but no..no apology..lots of fairy tales and such arrogance.  I am in complete despair....
