Experimental......
......loaf. Didn't get around to bread making yesterday but I'm trying to use up all the odd bits and bobs of flour and seedy things I've got stashed in the kitchen cupboards......
Recipe
(more for my reference than anything else, not sure how it's going to turn out yet!)
1 cup wholemeal flour
1 cup spelt flour
1 tsp salt
Good handful (that's a technical term) of pumpkin seeds
1 heaped tablespoon caraway seeds.....ish (see above)
1 sachet dried yeast
2 tablespoons olive oil mixed in warm water (amount later when I've actually mixed it in!
EDIT 1 cup seemed/felt about right
All other details like rising times and oven temperatures are still very much in the balance.............
EDIT.....5 minute knead, left it to rise until doubled in size, another short knead, shape sort of, put on floured baking tray, slash top, sprinkle with flour, let rise for another half hour on top of central heating boiler, stick in (pre-heated) oven at 220 deg C for..........bugger, didn't write the time down, maybe 20/25 mins?
It smells good...........
EDIT.......it tastes better, might have to buy more butter.........
EDIT.......LOTS more butter.........
