Mono Monday: Week 331 .....
.... Favorite Place.
My all time favorite place is anywhere that I can be with my Beloved husband!
But the back sunroom is a close second ... especially in the warmer months. From the sunroom I've been able to get some really awesome photographs of all our wildlife. And also some set up shots as well! Like this little chippy wishing all of you a Happy Memorial Day!
I've added an extra of some of the many sights we saw today on our excursion out. We started by going to the Plainfield Rail trail because we hoped it wouldn't be too crowded. On the way we stopped at Green Pond to see if any turtles were sunning themselves ... they were. Both the turtle and frog photos were taken here.
We had a nice walk at the rail trail and as we were returning to the car we saw the four-wheeler (lower center pic) coming down the trail ... right by the "No Motorized Vehicles on the Trail" sign! What!?! Then a Slate Belt police officer climbs out and approached us! What is happening?!? He has a printout of a woman who is missing and he wanted to know if we had seen her! No, we had not. We initially thought he was going to ask us about seeing an alleged killer that was on the run and last seen in Stroudsburg, PA. And thankfully we hadn't seen him either!
From the rail trail we decided to go t0 Jacobsburg even though we knew it would be crowded. We know of a parking lot that's not well known to others ... especially people that haven't visited the park until recently! This parking lot leads us to a bridge that overlooks Bushkill Creek and we were hoping that there would be animals and/or people in the creek. And there were both! The tagged map location is where we were at Jacobsburg State Park.
No COVID-19 stats as I'm posting this on Tuesday and they have already updated the stats.
