The World - But Not As We Know It
We set off for our first walk as a trio today, following our normal route which would bring us down to Events Square so that we could have a look at The World which came alongside this morning.
The World is the largest privately owned residential yacht. The residents, from about 45 countries, usually live on board as the ship travels, staying in most ports several days. Some residents choose to live on board full-time while others visit periodically throughout the year.
In March the ship unloaded all passengers and non-essential crew because of concern about COVID-19 infection and whilst the company had not announced its plans or when it would resume service the local paper announced that it was coming alongside in Falmouth for what could be months.
Quite impressive.
On the home front, we need to find space and room to store three years worth of Samantha’s accumulated belongings - Not going to be easy.
