This was the only "proper" picture taken today!

It is the last day of the Eid holidays today, and I wanted to do something "special", so suggested to G that we eat out somewhere. I was hoping for The Bagel Bar in Festival City which is right outside  M&S where we wanted to get some sauces for cooking, so two birds with one stone... I also suggested getting a free coffee in IKEA and then finally doing our weekly shop in Carrefour.

The morning consisted of G racing downstairs to meet a delivery man. Her call yesterday which took over an hour to connect resulted in her getting a sugar-free Baskin Robbins ice-cream cake! (My extra today)

Back to making the day different... we nearly ended up in Wafi but stuck with Plan A only to find that The Bagel Bar was not operating. I hope it hasn't closed down. We got the Jalfrezi sauce from M&S, ended up having a Subway sandwich for lunch and did the grocery shop. All done in under two and a half hours.

We attended EBCI's Life Group via Zoom for the first time in the evening. I thought it would be forty minutes, but it went on beyond 8 pm. We had a lively discussion about some tough stuff.

And after dinner, we had a little bit of G's ice-cream cake for dessert. It was delicious! What a treat!
