Tuesday "Run"
- up and around Arnside Knott- the lowest Marilyn (159m) in England. But a misty day , no lovely views from the top. Our route took us from the NT car park which at 92m, is a a good way up to the top, touch the trig , then down to sea level where this blip was taken and back up to the carpark. Back home just in time for a Zoom lunch with the Tuesday Run crowd
A bit of good news, Cumbria Wildlife Trust announce that two chicks have hatched in the Osprey nest at Foulshaw Moss with another egg still to go. The webcam is here but I confess I've not seen a chick yet.
We conclude that the culprit , stealing vegetable plantlets and flowers from the planters is a pheasant and install netting. Incase its a rat, Mr P put down bait last night and has already had a nibble.
Day 67
134 deaths, very low for a Tuesday but it was a bank holiday yesterday. Total deaths 37,048. Cummings still the topic of choice but backed by Boris. Good question from the public about fines levied where the reason given was childcare. Matt Hancock agreed to check up. Of course, now the rules have been "clarified" we need to know they have been applied consistently.
