Up!

Promotional Spiegeltent performance in Martin Place today, starting at noon.

Had difficulty choosing which to use for today's blip. The other main contender was this one, (even though it does kind of look like the cover of a trashy bodice-ripper novel).* I also hummed and haaed over a couple of other photos that I've ended up loading onto Flickr.

So it was a good Friday all up - the end of the working week and I got to leer at some incredibly developed male musculature before realising that at least one of the male performers was probably technically young enough to be my son see a free half hour performance. And it means I got the daily blip done before an afternoon thunderstorm rolled in for the rest of the day! (Woohoo!)

Now if some chocolate had magically appeared from the faeries, Chrissy would have been a very happy camper indeed, with all my priorities satisfied:
-avoiding work (tick)
-indulging in some mild perving (tick)
-taking a photo (tick)
-taking pleasure in the knowledge that the weekend is afoot!

Dear God, kill me now. My expectations from life may be low, but at least if I die today, I'll die a happy girl. And in the end, that's all that matters. :-)

* You know the kind - Isabella the rector's daughter falls in love with the dashing but cynically aloof noble with the title of Lord Raven-something or other (there's frequently an Alistair in there somewhere). After being rebuffed/pursued/told she has to work as an unpaid companion to a cranky old lady, she disguises herself as a boy and runs off and joins a pirate ship and invariably gets found out by the captain and ravished and then so on and so forth......
