I’m forever blowing bubbles...

....pretty bubbles in the air.

I was at school all morning helping B clean and prepare for the children returning next week. We have 8 children returning to be in our bubble and we hope to make it as enjoyable for them as we can. We hope to do most of our teaching/learning outside. It will be very strange and different but it’s a good start to get back up and running again.

Whilst I was at school Mr C had a large delivery of meat from our friend I, who is as busy as ever doing deliveries to friends instead of the restaurant and pubs that he normally does. He picks it all up from Smithfield’s Market in the morning and delivers to your doorstep.  Both boys had ordered large quantities again and Mr C packs it all up for them (e.g 5k of chicken breasts in packs of 2) ready to go into their freezers. Including sorting out our own meat order this takes a couple of hours.

In the afternoon we headed over to them to make deliveries. First stop was Sims who had been given the all clear from the virus earlier in the day but was still looking a bit washed out. Just around the corner from Sims is the Hogsback brewery and Mr C had placed a click and collect order. They were quite busy and it was well organised. You drive up to a point (not getting out of your car) they take your order. They go off to get your order while you drive around to the other side where they deposit it on a table for you to pick up and put in your car. A drive-thru beer collection. Brilliant! Lovely to see businesses still trying to operate during these times.

On to Rebecca’s, 5 minutes up the road, where Josh and Natalie had already arrived (we had asked them to meet us there as they are another 20 minutes further on). We had a nice social distanced chat in the garden where they were planning a family end of lockdown get together when they can. Whilst we were there Rebecca had delivery of a little bubble gun, ready for  returning to her little dance classes at the nursery tomorrow. Trying it out I was taking photos but then asked her if we could go on the grass as I kept getting the house in the shot. So there was I laying on the grass with her shooting them over me. .... only for me to use one with the aerial in it. The bubbles looked better but I also quite liked the aerial popping up from the bottom.
