We didn't quake…

… we dathered.  (Hard "A" as in cat.)

Apparently this is "Quaking Grass". It may well be, but I grew up knowing it was "Dathery Grass", because it dathered.
I now have some, courtesy of Clicky's rampant hordes; and, since it's an annual any excess ought to be relatively easy to dispatch.  She'll likely disillusion me in due course?
