Alone but Not Alone

Dear Diary,

I enjoy my solitary lifestyle but it is a bit taxing when you are sick.  However, I have such a wonderful group of friends who have helped out tremendously.  My neighbor went to the drug store for me and others have volunteered to get groceries.  My wonderful John came yesterday to finish some gardening chores and picked me the first lilacs since walking around outside in this heat and humidity would do me no good.  I am blessed.  I go to the doctors this afternoon.  I did have a relatively restful night.  Even Lulu May, who rarely sleeps with me, decided to do some feline nursing last night and the soft purr and gentle "mixing" did seem to sooth me.  Yes, I am blessed.
