Wild Children

Today was another scorcher, so took the kids to Newhall Valley, and made a dam; well, more of a weir, actually, across the stream - the water was so refreshing, and most of the people, but not all the dogs, stayed safely up on the footpath.

Received Wild Child, by Patrick Barkham, yesterday - loving it, and made me relaxed about not actually teaching them anything, just enjoying messing around in the water together. 

Gratefuls:
- these precious days with our grandkids
- access to Creation - water, stones, birds, flowers, sticks, insects, even a fish or two
- the prospect of dinner
