BBC Media City

I'm inside Media City in Salford today for a workshop with the BBC Learning team. It's amazing in here (and outside), could have blipped loads of shiny buildings but thought it best to choose a colourful one. This is looking towards the main atrium of Quay House, where BBC Breakfast, Radio Five Live and BBC Sport live. Quite exciting for communication geeks like me! Loving the big metal hoops with green and purple inside.

We went on a tour earlier in the day and spotted Ben Elton. The most interesting bit though was snooping around inside an audio recording studio - there was an incredible soundproofed corridor and corner where you couldn't hear around corners - they use it to give the effect of people walking away in radio programmes. Oh, and I did go inside the Blue Peter studio too.
