Red...dy and raring to go
Horrible night, hardly any sleep, still awake after 3..... felt pretty rubbish when I woke.
We had planned to go out for a walk up Rivington today but as I wasnt feeling it, we opted for a drive to Southport and a saunter around rather than a hike!
It was busier than last weeks visit, but still not bad, all very orderly and sensible. We bought a coffee and a bacon sandwich from the little tearoom near the Pier.....very organised. Enjoyed both sat in the sunshine followed by a lengthy walk around the boating lake, under the bridge, around the other side, then up onto the sand dunes......around onto the road near the theatre and finally onto Lord Street, then eventually back to the car. That took care of our 10k steps for today.
The Model Railway isnt back,up and running yet, but they were checking all the engines I guess, in readiness for getting the green light to open up for the summers passengers. This little red engine was looking very good in the bright sunshine and won the day for my blip subject.
Its been a lovely day weather wise, shorts & tee...l.looking more and more like we have been abroad.....I wish ;-)
Back home late afternoon, watering was the first job......the lawns are starting to look a little yellow, not resorted to watering those yet though!
Bed a little earlier tonight I think......another sunny day on the cards tomorrow :-D
