WHAT'S FOR BREAKFAST?

Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias). I made this shot a few years ago in Florida. I took an early morning walk along the beach near Dunedin and I saw some fishermen of at the end of a pier. So I walked out looking for some photo ops and saw several large birds standing by on the pier pilings. GBH, Brown Pelicans (Pelicanus occidentalis) and Great Egrets (Ardea alba). One fisherman was casting a net and when pulled in, he'd keep the fish he was looking for and would throw the undesirable species onto the pier. Then it was a mad scramble among the various birds to get some breakfast. It beats fishing for yourself when someone will wait on you, right?
