Geniuses

So, the kids have both had their moments today of surprising me with their astonishing genius minds!

Chickpea's moment--
I was writing the first four letters on her chalkboard and talking about them as she has seemed a bit more interested in letters lately. I talked about the first three, she already knows "C" for obvious reasons. I pointed to "D" and before I said anything she said, "I pye with my little eye something gonna be "Duh." I was truly amazed as I don't know where she picked that up from!

Monkey's moment-- I said to Monkey, "Say Ma Ma" and he did! Only once and I couldn't get him to repeat it so it may have been a fluke but still cool! I don't know whether to count that as his first words or not. (He's been able to do the ma ma and da da sounds for a long time but has not really said them on command or in context).

Monkey may have erased his genius status a bit later, though, by trying to suck the milk out of this dolly's bottle for a good 20 minutes...
