Goosander

I spotted this Goosander right at the far end of the weir this morning and I was worried because she was on her own and I'd seen her previously with several ducklings.  I needn't have worried as she was just enjoying some "me" time and the youngsters were bobbing about in the river.  As she walked back towards them she was obviously willing them to get up on the weir and join her, the obstacle being that the weir stands about 6 feet higher than the water.  Eventually she jumped in to re-join her family and they went on their way.
