Golden ferns

While my husband was out on a bike ride this morning I visited Sidmouth with our son.  The tide was in and although it was a lovely sunny day there wasn't the heat of the last few days, so very nice for walking around.  It wasn't that crowded and we managed to keep our distance fairly easily.  Then it was back home for lunch.

This afternoon I seem to have spent far too long on the allotment but I did take out some chard that had overwintered to give more room for a fresh lot of seedlings.  

Early evening I decided to take a 'painterly' shot of the golden ferns in the garden for todays abstract Thursday.  The last of the clap for carers was tonight after 10 weeks.
