A Runner's High!

I just got back from a brilliant run. It was amazing. I could feel myself running faster than usual and for the first time in a long time running on my own, I was out of breath. That's a good thing - it means i'm working harder! I think this running club is doing wonders for me. I've been coasting along for a while, when I can do so much more. I didn't take my watch or my GPS so I don't know my actual times but I know I did 5 miles in under 45 mins. Definitely under the 9 minute mile.

I went an old favourite 5 mile route, but I ran it The opposite way round to what i usually do. It's amazing how different everything is when you're coming at it from a different perspective! Perhaps that refreshing change has added to my glee tonight?

When I walked in the front door The Ataris - Boys of Summer came on my ipod. My endorphins went through the roof. I danced and jumped around the living room. Poor Wesley didn't know what was going on - his tail bristled up until I stopped! I haven't felt this good in ages. I feel elated, what a brilliant run!

This shot is of Duddingston Loch. I took it about halfway through my run.
