LATHYRUS odoratus: SWEET PEAS
These sweet peas have been growing together for a few weeks, now.
They are climbing on a trellis, but then began to invade my tomato cages. So I cut them back & put a bouquet in a vase, to take to a friend. That is when I discovered they are very fragrant. They are very nice together, but the EXTRA shows which one is the star.
These are the Sweet Peas that can climb 6-8ft (2--2.4meters) high, with support; but there is also a dwarf "patio" variety that grows 3ft (.91 meters)
high. They self seed, which is "a 2 edged sword."
