A Bleak Spot
After a walking and eating weekend in the Abernethy Forest we decided to head back south via the notorious A939 road "since it was such a nice day."
This is the highest road in the country and is frequently blocked by snow.
At Tomintoul some flakes began to blow about a bit. How we laughed!
Minutes later, we were enveloped in a blizzard and considering holing up at the Lecht ski centre for the duration.
It got better and I was able to blip this lonely old ruin. Who on earth would have chosen to live here? There is nothing for miles either side. And there's no way Tesco would deliver your groceries in the winter months!
