Sjusjøen, Norway - Snørvillen

A sudden change of scenery - crystal sky, pristine cut trail, superb snow. Ylläs in Finnish Lapland is going to have to keep up. They call this area 'the best cross-country ski area in Europe'. So far it has been pretty faultless, although we do miss the trail cafes, fireplace shelters (and toilets).

This trail winds up from lake Sjusjøen at 810m almost right to the top of Snørvillen at 995m. The view looks back down the trail across Sjusjøen towards the Lillehammer valley - probably the Jotunheimen mountains in the background. It has been a great first day back on skis but we are bound to feel it a bit tomorrow morning.
