Another lovely day and another early morning walk, this time at the lower end of the river Almond. We caught sight of the heron and saw it again several times on our walk. At the weir we spotted these two ducklings with their mother who proceeded to fly up to the higher level and left the ducklings, presumably thinking they would follow her. The poor things spent ages treading water at the foot of the waterfall (extras).

I finally managed to track down some tomato feed and it arrived this afternoon.
