The Golden Shot

Walking through our village churchyard yesterday and chanced across 2 circular headstones and a cross in the background. Best lining up I could manage for this shot with 2 impatient dogs with me as with most of my snaps.

A group of us mowed the churchyard a few weeks ago, due to the temporary cessation of council cutting. Never looked better, and has further opened up my eyes to it's charms.

Thoughts of pumpkins, "The Golden Shot" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Also the film "The Battle for Sevastopol" about the ace WWII female Russian sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko, which I enjoyed more than the critics.
