Leistus Montanus

Rescued by yours truly from the paddling pool I was filling up for the girls this morning. A very small beetle but beautifully irridescent with orange contrasting mandibles and legs. Apologies for the handheld macro shot but there has been much to get done this morning and so time was of the essence.
