Olive trees

Last summer we were in the garden when a pick-up truck full of olive trees turned up at the gate. The chap’s story was that he had been to a country show but not sold all his olive trees. He was stopping at likely looking gardens on his way home on the off-chance that someone might buy one. He obviously knew how to pick them!

Luckily for him we had recently sold our Italian holiday home that had 3 acres of olives and we were feeling nostalgic about olive trees. In a nutshell, we bought two and MrHCB has fretted ever since that they were not in big enough pots. Last week he found online these rather magnificent pots and our patio now looks like a rather grand Italian terrace with its olive trees.
