Special day!

After 10 weeks due to the coronavirus I was able to see my Mum today! It was very emotional! Thankfully she is really well looked after in the residential home which has helped me so much. She looked very well and we spent a brief hour which went too quickly together. That’s all we are allowed at the moment. I had my temperature taken on arrival and lots of questions asked. I was able to hug her which was wonderful. She is well and seemed quite cheery bless her. It’s also my 3000 blip today so a double celebration. The weather is still glorious and tomorrow we are having our son and the family for a bbq. Can’t wait to see them properly and give them a hug. Our son did pop in for a few mins this morning so we did have a hug?, Guernsey has done so well managing this pandemic and out of 63,000 people we have only had 13 deaths ... I agree it’s 13 too many but we’ve had no one on respirators and are now basically COVID 19 free. Social distancing out and about is still happening and though the beach was busy I think most people adhered to the rules.
