Yin and Yang
The yin and yang of shadows,
and half-shelled hard-boiled eggs,
of sunburnt skin in contrast
to wintered arms and legs.
The yin and yang of lockdown
and life we knew before,
the hot sun of the summer,
the ice beyond each door.
But we shall find a balance
as we gently break our shell,
and find a new nutrition,
a heaven after hell.
