A Tale Of Two Panoramas

It was a misty start to the day and we were out just after 5:30 a.m.

This field has been mown and the grass piled up for collection. Initially the lines attracted me but I couldn’t get many in a single shot - so I went for a panorama. Two different photos from similar positions. The top one is an 11 shot stitch - taken with my SLR and the bottom one is a phone shot taken in Pano mode.

In hindsight I wish I had stepped back a bit for the SLR shots as I really like the bendy gate produced by the phone.

The gate is straight and the shot is taken from the corner of the field - the two sides are roughly at 90 degrees even though they appear almost parallel.

During the day we sat outside a lot - watching the coming and goings of the birds. Some extras today -  firstly a juvenile starling getting to grips with the fat ball feeder - having to flap its wings to stay up and secondly an adult starling spraying water from the bird bath/water trough! We also saw a mouse several times coming out to pick up bits dropped from the fat balls. So tiny though so extra three is a bit poor. All three extras are taken from over five metres away and heavily cropped.
