Memory
This is a piece of my past, it’s a pill box given to my Mother by one of my Fathers Aunts around the time of their wedding, it contained a set of rosary beads and that is how I remember it. It has appeared and disappeared many times over my lifetime, this time it resurfaced during a covid lockdown declutter instigated by my sister who has been staying with, and shielding my Mother since the beginning of lockdown. When they came across it my Mother recalled we had been talking about it a few months ago, therefore, she decreed I, must be given it. It was manufactured in the Netherlands and is stamped with the makers mark and the .833 mark, they can be seen in the extras. I would guess it’s a tourist piece possibly picked up by a family member involved in trade between Netherlands and Edinburgh, it’s not of any great value but is a fond memory from my childhood. The other extras are some very sleepy ducks from our walk this morning and buttercups take 2.
