Weight loss journey progress report 31052020

Weekly progress report: told you last week the signs were good – a loss however small is a loss
Starting weight (25 May 2018 = 273lb)
Today’s weight = 189.4 lb
Average weight last week = 189.9 lb
Average weight this week = 189.2 lb
Weight loss this week = 0.7 lb
Note: I weigh every day first thing and calculate weight loss based on average weight for the week.

Week 10 of the lockdown and I am recording a weight loss of 0.7 lb for the week. Quite happy about that since it means that I have consolidated more than 2 pounds of the unexpected weight loss resulting from my lower back muscular injury I suffered 3 weeks ago and I have not put on any weight during the lockdown (indeed I’ve lost 1.6 lb) despite the absence of regular structured exercise due to the closure of the Peak.
Thank goodness for the allotments and the dry April and May!! Without the allotments and the exercise involved in keeping them pristine there is no way I could have achieved this since the lockdown does have detrimental effect on my willpower in terms of treats and avoidance of white carbohydrates and empty calories.
I still have vegetable loaded meals in the evening with the allotments now supplying an abundance of Spinach, mixed greens and spring onions but I find new Jersey Royal potatoes irresistible as is the odd glass of red wine and G&T!!
Next week I will have to be careful if I don’t want to report a weight gain as today’s weight is higher than the weeks average. So my goal for next week is standstill – I can do it!
I hope you all have had a good week and that you are keeping safe and fit in these uncertain times. I also hope that the lockdown is not having too much of a detrimental effect on your scales. Keep positive and safe.
