Diary of an Edinburgher

Blip meet!

Popped across to the Links to meet up with the gorgeous Trixie and her mum this morning. Though it was sunny, there was a chilly easterly breeze, so I was very glad I decided to put on my gilet. The others didn’t seem to notice the wind, though.

Trixie was kept occupied running after her tennis ball and bringing it back. Archie never bothered to learn to do this, basically, because he’s lazy. Trixie ran and ran like a mad thing, until she flopped down in the shade for about, oh - five minutes, then she was off again. Archie looked on bemused, or did his own thing - rolling in the cool grass. (Extras)

Ann and Trixie have had a super lockdown, really. They’ve walked MILES all over the place including on every single city (21?) golf course. We realised that we certainly have the correct dogs - Trixie needs so much exercise, and Archie likes his gentle walks, and is a bit lazy.

No coffee at the police box (shut on Sundays), so we just walked home. I felt a bit chilled after being out in the wind. I know, I know - silly in this hot weather. I sat out in the back garden for a while (TOO hot), but didn’t really warm up until I’d had a long hot shower.

JR busied herself all day, and took Archie out for another walk, but I relaxed and read the (online) papers.
