They’re back !

Two years ago we had the pleasure of some house-martins whose nest eventually fell down. So last year we put up a man made nest but they didn’t move in ! 

However, yesterday we were both so excited when suddenly there were house- martins swooping over the garden and flying into the nest - others seemed to be looking to build alongside it but there’s so little mud about they didn’t stay . 

Today, we were relieved to see little heads bobbing about and birds flying in and out.(see extra)  It’s made our weekend. 
The weather is so hot - no rain at all and the garden is desperate. There might be some next Wednesday. 
Thinking of those people especially teachers who have to return to work tomorrow.
