Dryads Saddle
Took a walk round Buttermere this morning - it was clear people are "easing off" of lockdown rules - many more cars - every car park packed (and on a Friday) people kayaking and paddle boarding on Buttermere (I've never seen that before). The end of Crummock looked like Blackpool beach on a bank holiday, with barbecues, tents, boats and loads of people.
This wonderful crop of Dryad's Saddle grows annually on this dead tree near to Gastons Refugio every June. With the warm spring, it's a couple of weeks earlier than usual, and as good a Dryad's Saddle as I've ever seen.
