A lovely surprise

Today was the day I should have received my MA in Ely Cathedral. Because of Covid-19 the ceremony was, of course, cancelled. At about the time the ceremony would have started there was a knock at the door and it was a beautiful bouquet of flowers, chocolates and a card from my friend who would have attended the ceremony as my guest. It made my day that she did something so thoughtful. The flowers will fade - the memory will not.
