Bird rescue

Another beautiful day. After lunch we set about some gardening out front. I heard a pair of Robins going mad and realised our cat Milo was out and exploring the pile of garden waste near our fence. On closer inspection I realised there was a baby Robin down on the ground. I grabbed Milo and got him back in the house. When I went back out the baby bird had moved to the back garden and the parents were close by. Milo managed to escape again and we chased him away from the area where the birds were. Even the Blue Tits were joining in “shouting” at Milo. Looks like they have their babies out now too - they have been nesting in the corner of our roof! Anyway I think everything ended well. A couple of hours of weeding and then I baked a chicken pie for dinner - a recipe shared by a work colleague. A brisk walk through the golf course and a long soak in the bath to round off the day. Back to work tomorrow.
