Day 69 – Busy

Once again it was sunny but we decided to remain at home until late. The big red poppies have just come into flower, but I tried to get a flying Bee on the Raspberries in the back. They are absolute B*****ds to photograph as they fly so quickly; this is the best I could manage today. Late afternoon we went out for a cycle and I got knocked off my bike on Easter Road; I was travelling very slowly and a guy came out of a side road to my right and just caught the back wheel. I was going slowly and ended up on the floor with just a few grazes on my elbow and knee. He was absolutely mortified and so apologetic I wasn’t annoyed and everyone stopped to make sure I was fine; there is still a lot of care in the world so it was good to see. It turned out my lens hood was broken, but I have a spare and there was no damage to the bike either. I guess nearly 10 weeks with little driving has made people less vigilant. And finally it looks absolute chaos in parts of England; let’s hope there were no Covid-19 carriers or it will carnage again for the NHS down south.

Best large.
