A Cold Morning

Dear Diary,

When I got up first at 5:30, it was only 25F so I turned the heat on and went back to bed.  Now, two hours later it is 20 degrees warmer and the sun is shining.  These irises, in front of the potting shed, seem to have survived the cold snap probably because the greenhouse portion retains heat and kept them from freezing.  We will be warming back up this week I just hope it isn't a return to the 90's we experienced last week.

I seem to have plateaued in my recovery, not any worse but still not better, like I'm stuck in neutral.  All this bed rest has done a number on my back too.  I am getting discouraged.
