Jackdaw (Corvus monedula)
One of the smallest in the family of crows and ravens, the Jackdaw is a ground feeder and eats everything from fruit and seeds, to small animals and insects, birds and eggs, and carrion. A large flock can also do an immense amount of damage to a field of young crops. It is good looking though with a grey neck and pale eyes compared with the others in its family. A group is called a "clattering" or alternatively a "train". I like "clattering"!
Went over to my neighbours for a cup of tea and cake in the garden.
