New Tulips

A different coloured bunch of tulips each week. My little treat to me and they do lift the spirits.

I did the journey into work today - first time since end of March and it felt strange. Not going to work but to deliver a baby blanket I’d knitted for a colleague. The blanket had been ready for about 3 weeks awaiting the baby’s arrival mid June but he decided to put in an early appearance.
I don’t suppose a knitted blanket is absolutely essential in this weather, but I’ve made it so he’s getting it.
Also, it was an excuse to call in and see how everyone is doing.
Main conversation was about how we (dental practices) heard about the phased re-opening plans: from the television!!
We all thought the Chief Dental Officer for England might have actually informed us all first, rather than us having to hear it on the news. Communication from CDO England has been very sparse to say the least.
It will be a definite phased process but within minutes of the TV announcement we had calls from people wanting to book in for routine stuff.
It’s going to be emergencies only for a while yet and it is difficult to imagine us ever getting back to running 4 surgeries with 100+ patients each day.
