Glimpses
It's been a long day.
The little Gs and I accompanied Mr G on his morning commute this morning - which meant a very early start. I am not a natural morning person. Anyway, he took us to see his new office, and we had a look around the Bank of England museum. We also had coffee (well, peppermint tea) at the Royal Exchange (I think that's what it's called...) while we waited for the museum to open. This was taken looking out from the steps into the rain - irritatingly, someone was stood in prime position for a head-on shot, and didn't move even though I stood either side of them in turn to take a picture from both angles. That aside, it was a lovely morning. Then we came home in time for pre-school and the usual Friday shopping, and Mr G stayed to do his day's work.
Cue much reflection (on my part) on the various shades of grass (if you see what I mean)...
I'll spare you the ins and outs, but I think my final conclusion (for today, at least) is that the grass has weeds whichever side of the fence you stand.
I know I've reached this conclusion before. But sometimes I keep needing to remind myself.
