My super hero!!

One super hero ted in his high viz vest went off in the post this afternoon and another made a visit to sort out my car!!!

I had planned to drive up to the surgery for my vaccination, but my car wouldn’t start !!!! Unladylike words !!! 

B to the rescue, to make sure that I was on time. The surgery was very well organised ....gave my name at the main entrance.......waited by the car....was collected by the nurse. I entered by the fire escape door, sat on the chair, bared my arm for injection and was out again in less than 60 seconds. 

We headed for the post office In the Coop to send Ted on his way and a small package. Whist I was moving from  one 2 metre spot to the next, I saw some Ben & Jerry’s Fairway to Heaven ice cream ......yummy.....so had to buy some. Supermarket deliveries are rubbish for ice cream....never available. 

B rang the RAC when we got home and a couple of hours later this helpful gentleman arrived. With the appliance of science ....a handy bit of kit which confirmed what we thought....the car needed a new battery. He had one with him, fitted it and I’m now back in business !!!  It has a 5 year guarantee, but I have to do 2,000 miles a year to validated it ....how many sewing group meetings does that equate to .....!!!! Any excuse !!!

I explained the need for a picture today, preferably with the shiny jacket and he dutifully agreed :0) 

I wore my face mask today first time proper. It was rather warm and steamed up my glasses !!! It comprises of two layers of fabric, each one has non woven fusible lightweight interfacing attached. These were the initial instructions that were given in the literature. The ones for R are this design and the first batch for her colleagues. The second batch are cut out but I think that I won’t include the interfacing to see if they are more comfortable and still effective. If they are not comfortable people will just take them off and that defeats the objective of the exercise !!!!
