Another job ticked off

One of the jobs that has been on our "to do" list was to sort out the goldfish pool on the patio.  This has been devoid of goldfish for more than 6 months, but the water was gradually filling up with vegetation, and the walls of the liner were covered in green algae.

Last night, we emptied the water onto the flower beds, and today we took it apart.  I scrubbed the liner whilst W tackled the pump and filter.

And this evening we have refilled it from the water butts.  Tomorrow we will check that the pump and filter are working, and then on Wednesday, we may go and buy fish and more plants if we feel these are needed.  And hopefully we can get the wildlife camera working, so that we can see if we have any unscheduled visitors.
