Free at last
Whoopee! Out of isolation and down to the riverbank. So much has changed in a week. The giant hogweed has grown a couple of feet higher and is coming into flower, and the swans have hatched their cygnets! I would have included a pic of the cygnets but they are still on the nest and with perfect timing the rushes have grown so much that they are perfectly hidden from flying eyes. As long as parents can protect them from fox or mink they stand a good chance. I tried to take a pic from the other side of the river but my tiny lens can't pick out the detail at that distance. A gorgeous day to be back by the river :-)
