Day 104

We dropped off a giant outdoor chess set to a young family today and stayed in the garden for a coffee and chatted for over an hour. I think they very much needed it. The young wife will go back to work Friday on a rota basis. Their son who is in year 1 won’t go back to school yet as the school can’t safely look after reception year 1 Bd year 6. On the wY home bumped into another friend who is on an enforced annual leVe as the hospital gets her ward ready for elective surgeries next week. Her young son is in reception and will start school next week. They are doing a phased return to make it sFe for kids and staff alike.  So all in all we had a nice walk around the town. Post office this afternoon to post Abigale a book which might arrive before Christmas. Her birthday card took 3 weeks. The baby carrier and bears haven’t arrived yet either. We think the post takes longer to reCh them as they are rural Alberta. I could do tracked mail but that was very expensive. As it was the book was £7and the postage £7-21. Tracked was £11-50
FaceTimed with them this evening and Abi was tired and in a funny mood but soon warmed to us when we showed her the puppies.
I love these striped roses. I think I bought them a few years back from the Hampton Court flower show which we have booked up for again this year. I haven’t been for 2 years now
Have a good evening folks and stay safe
