Eastern delight!

I have been absolutely spoilt on my birthday today, wonderful cards, messages and many gorgeous gifts, a day off work and fantastic weather. Daughter B cooked us a delicious Middle Eastern mezze, followed by this pomegranate passion cake (wow!).

I am so grateful for my amazing girls and all they do for me. I have stoically avoided the news today and made the most of this little bubble of carefree relaxation.
